Lilith is the first wife of Adam, and an ancient sumerian Goddess of sacred sexuality. In one of the stories she was born as first wife of Adam, born equally. When Adam would no longer play fair, she called upon God to free her from the situation. In the process, God gave her talons and wings so she could fly free.<\/p>\n
Another story is of her as a priestess in the ancient temple of Inanna. Here, she and other priestesses would heal the men who came home from war, through their sensuality and physical touch. They understood the healing powers of sacred sexuality.<\/p>\n
