In this special drum making class you will work with a naturally dyed green horse hide to make your Freedom of the Heart drum. The beautiful green tones awaken the deep, healing energies of an open and vibrant heart. The medicine of the Horse brings the energy of Freedom. The drum itself is the instrument of the heart and the South in the Medicine Wheel, connecting one into the Earth’s heart spaces and bringing one home to the song of the heart once again.
Learn how to make a 16” horse hide drum and sound maker also known as a drum stick. This experiential class will give you heart centered support to connect with the spirit of your animal hide through ceremony and clarity of focus, as you learn the basics of making a hide drum and sound maker.
The day will be full of ceremony from beginning to end. Be cleaned and cleared energetically when all are gathered. An opening of the directions will create a sacred container for you to ground you into the place of heart and creative flow as you connect with the medicine of Mother Earth and her ally of horse.
Additional option to add Wolf Fur to the outside of your 16” hoop will be offered the day of class for an additional $35.
